It depends on the size of the system, your roof and the equipment you choose. Federal rebates come off the price upfront, and every Icarus quote shows the full price line by line, with no surprise extras. The quickest way to a real number is a free quote.
What size system do I need?
Most Queensland homes end up between 6.6kW and 13kW. We size yours from your actual bills, your roof and whether a battery is on the cards. Try the sizer for a ballpark.
Is a battery worth it?
For some homes, yes. We install new solar and battery systems and add batteries to existing solar, and we’ll tell you honestly if a battery won’t pay for itself in your situation.
How long does it take?
Usually two to four weeks from quote to switch-on. The install itself takes one to two days on site. The rest is paperwork, ordering equipment and getting your network connection approved.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Not all day. We need access at the start and a quick walk-through at the end. We switch your power off briefly to wire in the inverter, so most people like to be around for that part.
What happens after the install?
We help get your meter changed to a solar meter (your retailer does the swap), show you the monitoring app, and we’re a phone call away if anything isn’t right.
